Your nappies look beautiful - I'm so impressed that you manage to sew them all yourself!

I'm still struggling with cloth diapers... I really want to use them but I find it tough with two little ones. I always seem to get leaks, because I don't seem to get round to changing them often enough (busy toddler schedules and the like...), and then I get disheartened and go back to disposables for a few days before venturing back into cloth territory.

Ah well, I'll keep on trying. Looking at all those pretties you've made is certainly encouragement!

Hi, I'm new and just found this site! I wanted to comment on the cloudy glasses issue, as I just solved that here. Our water in SE MI is also very hard, but being in an apartment, I don't have a water softener. I add plain white vinegar to the rinse aid dispenser of my dish washer. Sparkling clean glasses after JUST ONE WASH! Give it a try! You might like the results.

Hello! I'm new, just found this site. I wanted to comment on the cloudy glasses, as we have very hard water in SE MI, and I just solved this problem. I add plain white vinegar to the rinse aid part of my dishwasher, and in the very next wash, all my glasses came out sparkling clean! All the cloudiness is gone! I also make my own laundry soap, which works just fine in hard water. You can find my recipe at my webpage under "frugal tips" although it's the same recipe you'd find anywhere if you google "home made laundry soap". Nice site! I'll be back!

I want to cloth diaper my next baby, i was wondering about washing. Do you have a seperate washing machine for them? Does the machine you use have a special sanitary heat cycle on it? I'm grossed out by the thought of poo and pee in my washing machine to be honest.

Magnificent, really. If in her teens she goes on a sugar/hormone jag and accuses you of not loving her, show her the diaper photos and say, "THIS is unconditional love."

Do you use Bac Out at all? I've found it's excellent on towels and the trash can after stomach flu...

yah, tell me about washing in hard water - central Indiana is 320-390! Oh my. What dishwasher soap do you use? I'm not happy with mine and my cloudy glasses. (and it's not etching - when I soak them in vinegar, they sparkle again *bling*). And, I love your diaper color too.
