Props for creativity – this might be the weirdest application of felt I’ve ever seen!

Question: Do the chairs still fold?
Print This Post
hmm: no more sitting on cold hard chairs! Works for me (except, how did they *do* that?, and no, I don’t want to do it myself!). They’d be quiet, too, allowing one to sneak in late to a meeting (who me?). Tips for using Art: that’s what you get from a practical Virgo.
Comment by Sara 05.22.06 @ 4:08 pmAnd what’s the maximum weight that these chairs can hold? I’d be nervous about sitting in on these chairs. And I sure hope these have been waterproofed . . .
Comment by Lola 05.23.06 @ 4:40 amfelt for outside chairs! no way.
…ok, i live in the UK, its all about the rain-proofing :)
Comment by alice 05.23.06 @ 5:41 amThe metal frame is still in em, tho, yes? That’d be a very cool thing to do with scrolled ironwork chairs too – assuming you had the patience to sit there and fiddle with it.
Comment by Anne 05.23.06 @ 7:32 amIndeed – “Do they still fold?” was the first thing that came to my mind, too! I’m guessing no…
Comment by Chris 05.23.06 @ 7:35 amOh dear. That grouped shot looks like the Tellytubbies of the folding chair world…
Comment by Lee Ann 05.23.06 @ 12:57 pmThe felt chairs were odd. Not an outdoor piece, but I could (amost) see the point of softening a hard/cold everyday item. The fulled balloon outfits though were harder to grok. (Under accessories, along with some interesting looking fulled bag, some useless fulled jewelry, and cute fulled birds).
Comment by kbsalazar 05.23.06 @ 4:57 pmHmmm, felt chairs. I guess that eliminates sitting on a cold metal chair, but I hope it doesn’t rain!
Comment by Barb 05.24.06 @ 1:37 pmWhat’s not to love about a felt chair! Thanks for the link to the artist’s site — she has a nice take on design.
Comment by nona 05.31.06 @ 5:18 pmI wonder if the chairs would make you itchy if you sat on one?
